When I read this article on PickupTruck.com, I had to laugh a little. It seems that Toyota might be kicking around the idea of a compact pickup for it’s Scion line. It will have a 2.4L 4cyl, the same basic equipment as the rest of the Scion line, and the option of adding cool custom parts. It seems like a good idea, right up until you think about what you can do with a compact 4cyl 2wd car-based pickup…no hauling, no off-road, no towing anything heavier than 2k lbs.
All I can think to do is to put some astroturf in the back, a kick-ass coffee can for a muffler, give it some really small wheels, and tow my grandma’s motorcycle trailer (the little trailer you tow behind a motorcycle, not an actual trailer FOR motorcycles).
Wait! I could race it! 17 sec. 1/4 miles should be within my reach…

Why do you have to be so hard Toyota? Global domination is hard and they get them all perfect! People laughed at the Tundra concept too and how that is turning out.
