E85 based Tundra 2009

Last nights local SanAntonio news ran an interview with the local Tundra plant rep. Plant will stop Tundra production for 90 days, let go of 200 part time employees, and send the rest of the full time employees into advanced training programs. Comments were made also that they will be gearing up for the Tundra Diesel next year and an ethenal based Tundra... which is the first time Ive ever heard that mentioned .

From the San Antonio Express news 7/10/09: "Toyota has some options for the Tundra that might make it more palatable for those worried about fuel costs. Some 2009 models will be available to run on the ethanol/gasoline mixture, E85. Toyota continues to work on a diesel engine that will generate more power and get better fuel economy."

Well my hopes of a Toyota Diesel just got blown up. I was really hoping for a diesal within the next two years. I'm also stoked about the possibility of a half ton diesal. I guess my 04 Tundra will have to suffice for now, (which I really like).
