Here’s an interesting story:

Helen and Renee Hopper of Muncie, Indiana awoke to an all-too-familiar sound early Friday when a brand new Toyota Tundra truck crashed into their front porch.

Tundra crashed into house.

“My mother said the house was falling in,” said Renee, who replied it was just another vehicle hitting their home at 1524 S. Burlington Dr.

Edward A. Jones, 39, Albany, was driving north on Burlington about 2 a.m. when his pickup truck left the road at a curve and slammed into the Hoppers’ house, according to witnesses and police, with debris from the crash also damaging the house next door.

The Hoppers came out and found the truck under their front porch roof, which had collapsed. A similar accident on June 20 saw a car crash into the Hopper home, when police were chasing two convicted felons after an attempted traffic stop.

That’s right - this house has had a car crash into it TWICE in the last 90 days. Talk about bad luck.

Without being preachy, this is a great example of what can happen when intoxicated people get behind the wheel.

Our best to everyone involved.
