A Word About Custom Paint

Custom paint jobs are no small thing, as they require quite a bit of work to execute properly. First, the vehicle must be very carefully masked off…any mistakes and you’ll have over spray on wheels, headlights, chrome parts, etc. Next, the factory paint must be sanded with very fine grain sandpaper so that it’s “scuffed” enough to bond with a new coat of paint. Once the new paint is applied, the masking must be removed and a new layer of clear coat must be applied to the new paint and blended into the existing paint so that the finish looks uniform.

Done correctly, a custom paint job (like this one) looks factory. Nice work!

Thanks for the love THQ! Steps have been added(for the wife’s convenience), HIDs are on the way and still deciding what grille to go with. Upcoming mods: leather interior to match the exterior, new wheels and dual exhaust.

Man, that thing is jacked, in a good way. Good job.

Any issues with the tires rubbing, tires look to be pretty close to the wheel wells?

Like those tires and rims, sweet ride. Doubt I could get up in the beast without running boards/nerf bars.

How do those monster tires run down the hwy.? – any road noise?
