We visited Stevinson Toyota East last night in Aurora, CO (just outside Denver) and managed to test drive their Made In The USA Toyota Tundra. It’s a 2008 Tundra Regular Cab 2wd SR5 with the sport package, and the 5.7L V8 (of course). It also includes TundraRacing.com’s 2″ lowering kit, a complete set of carriage works grilles, a custom exhaust, and custom American flag vinyl work.

Supercharged all-american Tundra.

Stevinson Toyota East in Aurora, CO has created this Tundra to showcase their customization skills.

The supercharger mounted on Stevinson East’s All-American Tundra.

When we got their, Ryan Prue and Tanner Tilton were finishing up the install. After dropping the fuel tank and putting in a new high flow fuel pump (and adding some 91 octane gas), they double checked everything and flashed the ECU. Then, it was time for a test drive.

No traffic laws were broken – we swear.

We’re going to visit Bandimere speedway next week with the guys from Stevinson East and participate in a few 1/4 mile runs. We’ll keep you posted. By the way, Stevinson Toyota East isn’t selling the truck they’ve made (at least not yet). If you want one, however, they can build you one for about $30k. Pretty cheap for such a fast truck…

  5. Dwayne says:

Does anyone know the 0-60 times for the supercharged tundras?

  6. Bruce says:

i found this on youtube don’t know if it right or not

That means you could get a supercharged 5.7 Reg Cab Tundra with the TRD exhaust for around $25,000. That truck would have a? 0-60 time of around 4.5 seconds and a 1/4 mile time of around 13 seconds. That’s faster than a whole lot of Lightning’s, and certainly more bang for the buck.

  7. Mickey says:

    I would agree Bruce….

  8. Word Bruce – word.

  9. Houston says:

Supercharged tundras can run a 0-60 in 4.4sec

  10. Houston says:

how much would the TRD supercharger kit cost and does anyone know about how much the installation would be?

  11. Mickey says:

    About $5,000 to $7,000

  12. Yep – $5500 or so for the kit + $1000-$1500 for installation at your local Toyota dealership.

  13. NATE NEMMERS says:

I BOUGHT THE OFFICAL TUNDRA AND SHE IS NASTY FAST, I NEED TO RESET THE ECU AND HAVE IT PRO MAPED , I ALSO WOULD LIKE TO PUT AN AFE INTAKE ON HER, MY SYSTEM IS RUNNIG LEAN, I HOPE BY PUTING AN AFE SYSTEM ON THE 5.7 IT WILL HELP. LET YOU KNOW HOW SHE RIPS SOON!!!

  14. Cool Nate – congrats.

  15. Ian says:

I know when the supercharger first arrived on the scene, it was not compatible with the flex fuel engine, does anyone know if that has since changed? I am FINALLY going to purchase a Tundra 5.7 in December and I really want to add the supercharger but if it is still not compatible with the flex fuel motor, I may be SOL…..

  16. BILL says:

WHAT CAN THIS TUNDRA PULL WITH SUPER CHARGER

  17. Lee says:

I would like tO supercharge my Tundra! The reality is they can’t even fix the transmission. The service dept. explained how complicated it was, they did not want to try to fix it.

  18. Lee says:

It was shifting hard, so hard it had wallered out the front yoke. When you would accelerate sometimes it would over ride traction control and spin the tires. The dealer did not want to work on the trans. They just tried to mitigate the symptoms. The problems started at about 5000 mi., now 24000mi. I like my truck, hate the trans problems and dealer service. My last Toyota.
