Staff Changes at Tundraheadquarters.com
After more than 775 posts and 5+ years at the helm, it is time for me to move on. This hasn’t been the easiest decision, but it is simply time. I’ll be working through the end of the month and then on Jan. 1, 2017, I will no longer be the editor.
It is quite astonishing to me to look back over this span of time and see how much I’ve grown professionally and how much this site has grown. If you didn’t know, I literally got the job after answering a Craigslist advertisement all those years ago. While my automotive journalism colleagues have either aspired to be to work in this field, I, honestly, didn’t even realize such a career existed.
Through the years, I’ve learned so much from not only covering the industry, but also from the readers of this site. The wealth of knowledge here is quite remarkable and there are a great many memories I’ll be taking with me.
I am forever grateful site owner Jason Lancaster took a chance on me all those years ago. My work with this site has had its ups and downs for sure, but through it all Jason is a great boss whose determination to make a career on his own is to be admired.
You may see my name on this site from time to time as a guest poster. I’m leaving on great terms and have nothing but good things to say about this site and Jason. The honest truth is I’ve just become so very busy these days with my freelance work and my own outlet that I can’t justify spending the time on this site. It is an unfortunate truth since this is the site that provided me the platform to launch into becoming an automotive journalist.
I hope you will find me and follow me. I’d love to stay connected. I’m pretty easy to find on social media and on my pickuptrucktalk.com site.
It has been a great run, but my time has come. THANK YOU to everyone who supported me on this journey. I’m forever grateful.
